Lars Müller Publishers, an internationally active project publisher for architecture, design, photography, art, and society, is currently seeking a Marketing & Communications employee (40%) in Zurich.
Your responsibilities
● Planning, coordinating and evaluating PR and marketing strategies for the publishing program and related activities, in close collaboration with the Head of Communications & Marketing and the publisher
● Writing and editing high-quality, compelling content in German and English, for press, website, newsletters and social media, shaping narratives that engage both niche audiences and new readers
● Producing consumer and trade e-newsletters to a defined schedule
● Co-managing and updating website/webshop content
● Organizing select events and representing the publisher at international trade fairs
● Selective national and international media relations across key print, digital, broadcast and influencer channels
● Overseeing select marketing and advertising opportunities, such as creative partnerships, media placement and award submissions
● Developing the social media strategy and managing social channels in close collaboration with the marketing assistant
● Collaborating closely with Sales, Editorial and Design departments to ensure aligned and effective communications
Your profile
● Several years of professional experience in marketing, communications, and/or public relations, ideally in publishing, design or cultural sectors
● Comfortable across print, digital and social media channels, including PR & marketing strategy and execution
● Very good command of English and German, with the ability to adapt tone of voice to different audiences and platforms
● Experience in content management systems (CMS) to manage website content, as well as in digital publishing tools (e.g. email marketing, social media, digital analytics)

Lars Müller Publishers is looking for a motivated and creative individual to start a marketing & communications traineeship in May 2026, with a particular focus on social media.
Tasks
● Assisting with marketing and editorial planning processes
● Developing creative, platform-specific content ideas related to books, authors, events and everyday publishing life
● Planning, producing and publishing social media content (reels, stories and posts)
● Help managing and growing our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
● Creating visual assets, including product photography and simple animations and video content
● Assisting with media relations
● Supporting the concept development and execution of events, launches and campaigns
Requirements
● Initial experience or exposure to marketing and/or press relations
● Strong willingness to learn and develop skills in both PR and marketing areas
● Enthusiasm for creating compelling content across text, image and video, with a basic unders-
tanding of social media platforms and formats
● Good written communication skills in English and German
● Reliable, organized and able to work independently as well as collaboratively
● Genuine interest in design, architecture and culture
● A degree in media, marketing or visual communication is an advantage
