Lina Ghotmeh

Lina Ghotmeh (*1980) leads her practice Lina Ghotmeh — Architecture in Paris and works across the realms of Art, Architecture and Design. Having grown up and studied in Beirut, Ghotmeh’s architecture draws inspiration from the diverse civilizations that have shaped the city’s contours and confronts the challenges of climate change by delving into the rich history of climatic architecture of various regions. Her work and research have been showcased at the Sharjah 2019 Architecture Biennale, the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Museum in New York, at the MAXXI in Rome (2021–22), in the Danish Architecture Institute and at the seventeenth Architecture Biennale in Venice (2021).
