Poster "Momentum of Light" Bobo-Dioulasso
In March 2020, architectural photographer Iwan Baan and award-winning architect Francis Kéré took a trip to West Africa to explore the role of natural light in Burkina Faso's vernacular architecture – Kéré's home country and a source of inspiration for this work. The results are documented in Momentum of Light: A photobook homage to the interplay of light and architecture with stunning photographs by Iwan Baan and architectural sketches by Francis Kéré.
This limited-edition poster shows one of Iwan Baan's photographs from the series: A woman walking up to a building's flat rooftop in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso's second-largest city. The poster is signed by Iwan Baan and Francis Kéré.
